# Introduction

> Query public social data through a single API.

SocialQuery provides one API key, a shared response envelope, and credit accounting for public social, search, commerce, and research data.

The catalog contains 646 operations across 68 platforms. We are activating and verifying providers for this beta launch. Catalog inclusion does not guarantee that an operation is live. See [availability](/concepts/availability) before building a dependency on an endpoint.
